I thought we should go back a bit and let everyone enjoy the details of how Mia found her wonderful foster parents...thanks to professional photographer Sheri Berliner (www.petraits.com) Laura and Mike received an email about Mia needing to find a foster home immediately, they responded right away and we set up a meet and greet.
We met at a tennis court on a rainy Sunday, the first thing that Mia did was to begin to remove her clothing...while pretending to sniff around...coat...what coat?
Then she took a minute to snicker about her crafty coat removing skills...
The sniff and greet went really well when she met Laura and Mike.
The fact that Laura (who is a dog trainer) brings her own treat pouch was a plus!
Wow! That treat dispenser thing is attached to you!
I like you foster momma!
After some more fun on the tennis court, (including fencing with a loose dog in the park- I am happy to report Mia quickly decided not to continue that when we all suggested she knock it off) we thanked Laura and Mike and headed back to the car for the next part of our day. Mia slept very well after that.
